#132: Time To Move On

In the event you are a long-time reader of Soapy the Chicken… you are probably also a reader of Sean Tenhoff’s ultra-violent comedy The Bean Men. Sean just posted a wonderful little video clip of the bean men in action the other month. You can view it here. I encourage you to go there, enjoy, and hassle Sean to post some more of his uniquely crazy-ass comic strips!

Click the above image to see it bigger.

If you like this stuff and want to read the previous strips without going back post by post through the blog, they are easily browsed in THE ARCHIVE here.

You can buy the Soapy the Chicken book here.

You may also want to check out the latest strip from my weekly (updated every Friday) collaboration with Ben Zmith, Monkey’s Paw.

  1. Woot! Finally, I can access all the Cartoonist Conspiracy material again. Woo Hoo! I might have to rejoin the main Conspiracy website. It’s been so long since I’ve been able to access the material, I may of forgotten my log in info. Ha,ha,ha.

  2. Hi MJ! Although the group is still very active, the Conspiracy message board is pretty inactive these days… social networking sites seem to have pretty much killed the message board. The blog is still active on the Conspiracy site… cartoonistconspiracy.com/conspire

Definitely let me know if you want me to reset your password to the message board, though! Maybe you can make good use of it!

Thanks much for checking in, MJ!

  3. New “Old Codger” podcast up right now( as of July 20, 2011). And The Codger played a song that seems appropriate for your recent efforts: Wendell Hall singing “There’s a Trick in Pickin’ a Chick-Chick-Chicken These Days.”

  4. I listened to that yesterday! A song about plastic surgery from the 20s! Boy, the Codger sure digs up a lot of gems. “Oh! You Have No Idea!” was one of the best Sophie Tucker tunes he has played yet, I think… and she is his favorite singing group!

  5. It was great to hear that new Sophie Tucker song. The Codger does have a tendency to repeat himself, but his most recent effort seemed to be packed with of all new stuff.
